Aim

AHRJIS aims to provide a trusted scholarly venue for research that deepens understanding of Islamic texts, traditions, histories, institutions, ideas, and lived realities.

The journal welcomes work that combines sound disciplinary method with clear engagement in existing scholarship and questions of lasting academic significance.

Subject coverage

The journal considers original and review scholarship in areas including:

  • Qur’anic studies, Hadith and Sunnah studies, Seerah, and Prophetic studies
  • Islamic law, jurisprudence, legal theory, and Maqasid al-Shariah
  • Islamic history, theology, philosophy, ethics, civilization, and intellectual heritage
  • Islamic economics, finance, education, culture, and Muslim societies
  • Comparative religion, contemporary Islamic thought, and interdisciplinary Islamic Studies

Approach and audience

AHRJIS is intended for researchers, teachers, postgraduate students, libraries, and readers seeking academically grounded work in Islamic Studies.

Submissions should make an identifiable scholarly contribution, use appropriate primary and secondary sources, and explain their method and limitations transparently.

Languages

The journal is being prepared to publish research in English, Urdu, and Arabic. Every submission remains subject to language-specific editorial and production requirements.
